The mission of the Connellsville Cultural Trust is to improve

the quality of life in the Connellsville region by valuing and 

preserving our cultural and historic assets and

supporting and nurturing other cultural groups

and educational initiatives. 

The Connellsville Cultural Trust was formed in July of 2006--

the Bicentennial Year of the City.

Recent Grant Awards:

Target Corporation for a project at the Edwin S. Porter Theater

Fayette Hotel Grant through Laurel Highlands--

grants were received in 3 categories:

Tourism Education, Capital Improvements and Operations

Community Foundation of Fayette County for

Downtown Connellsville's flower baskets.

A Troy-Bilt Leaf Blower was awarded to the Trust through

their participant in PA Clean Ways Clean up in May

of Downtown Connellsville.

The Connellsville Cultural Trust received funding through

the 2009 Fayette County Tourism Grant Program for

concession stand equipment for the Porter Theater and

for publishing the Connellsville Crossroads.

The Garden Club of Connellsville sponsored
the annual Geranium Festival on May 30, 2010.
An initiative of the Downtown Connellsville Program was to install flower baskets on the Victorian Light Poles along Crawford Avenue.  With support of Community Foundation of Fayette County, Rotary of Connellsville, Garden Club of Connellsville, and donation of all flowers and soil by Lowe's of Uniontown we were able to install 15 baskets.
  

The Connellsville Cultural Trust's Fourth Annual Fundraiser

Monday, October 25th, 2010 raised over $ 2,500. 

The evening featured a buffet and local entertainment.

In recognition of the efforts of the Conn Area School, the Trust

 held a Tea-Reception for the children who participated in "Wonderland".
